The 2009 Hard Core Four series is in the books!
Thanks for coming out!
See you at the 2009 SOCCS!

Mission Statements:
1) The number one reason we started this race series last year was to give everyone an opportunity to
race once a month over each of the four upcoming months and to beat cabin fever.
2) We feel it is a great way to stay in shape, work on some new riding skills (due to the unique weather
conditions), and be ready for the start of the other series come springtime whether that be the GNCCs,
ACES, SOCCS, KRS, or D-11.
3) The series is much more about the opportunity to ride/race and the comradery through it all rather
than awards. That is why we have compressed the classes some and the awards are dialed down a tad
to save costs.
4) We are definitely not in this to make money. In fact, we ask for nothing and receive nothing! The
revenue from each race goes directly to the track/land owner in order to rent the land, pay for scoring,
obtain the awards, have insurance, and do everything else that goes along with hosting a race. We do
ask them to hold back a nominal sum after each race to go toward year end awards.
5) We welcome anyone that wants to play a more pivotal role in planning, promoting, or developing the
race series. Think of it more of a communal thing or co-op with everyone that frequents
HarescrambleTalk. That is why we say it is sponsored by the racers here at HarescrambleTalk on the
handout... it really is "our series"! Who knows how big this thing can get?

Three Important Updates regarding the Series:

1) As you may have seen on another thread recently someone inquired about doing away with the
Utility ATV class in favor of a Vet ATV class. A resulting poll showed unanimous support to do this
and it is now officially done. There is now a Vet ATC class in place of the old Utility class. So we
expect all the Vet riders to show up and "represent"!

2) Secondly, our schedule was created several months ago prior to the GNCC and D-11 folks releasing
theirs. Thus, when Jayme Konkler (owner of Krash) looked at theirs he has requested that round four
be moved up from February 21st to February 7th. This will avoid any potential conflict with the GNCC
the following weekend (2/28) as well as a D-11 race the next day (2/22). We will keep the 21st as our
back-up date just in case of severe weather on the 7th. We felt we will be doing this far enough in
advance that it shouldn't be too big of a deal.

* An updated flier indicating the above two changes will be available very soon for download/printing *

3) It looks like Clinton County Motorcycles is stepping up big time to be one of biggest donaters of
"swag" this year. So thanks to them and Dave Copsey. They are joining Cycra, Rekluse, and MJ USA
who are already on board. If anyone knows of anybody else that would want to be sponsors or donate
items for giveaways send them our way!
